Women's P.E.O. STAR Scholarship
DUE: OCTOBER 2nd 

DESCRIPTION: The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship is open to women who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.
ELIGIBILITY: Must be a senior girl, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, a legal citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada, plans to attend a post-secondary education institution in the fall after graduation.
VALUE: $2,500 
MUST COMPLETE 2 STEPS:
  • Complete the Student Activity Chart and write a one page essay discussing your higher education plans and possible career aspirations. A resume may also be included, but is not required. SUBMIT to Mrs. Wetovick by October 2nd. From these applications, one woman from Fullerton will be selected to apply for the National P.E.O. STAR Scholarship.
  • The applicant selected will then be required to submit an online application by November 30th to the National P.E.O. Executive office. The local P.E.O. Chapter will help you with this process. 
  • This P.E.O. Scholarship is separate from the local Fullerton P.E.O Scholarship.

Future of Nebraska Scholarship

Equitable Excellence Scholarship

GE- Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program 
DUE: JANUARY 5th  

ELIGIBILITY: This national program awards college scholarships to high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace and at home. 
VALUE: $10,000 renewable scholarships- up to $40,000 per student.

Smith Diversity Scholarship  
DUE: JANUARY 28th  

ELIGIBILITY: 
  • Application is open until January 28th
  • No minimum GPA, SAT or ACT requirements.
  • Two letters of references requested (minimum one letter of reference required. Requests for references can be made through the submission portal).
  • Students will need to upload the following in the application:
    • Essay
    • High School Transcript
    • Proof of Household Income (parent/guardian(s) most recent W-2, most recent Tax Return or FAFSA Submission Summary)
  • Applicants must be an ethnic minority with a household income under $65,000.
  • Applicants must be a 2024 graduating senior attending a Nebraska public, private, charter school or home school association, or have obtained their GED.
  • Applicants must plan to begin their freshmen year of post-secondary education the following academic year.
  • Applicants do not need to be a U.S. citizen.
  • Awards will be announced around April 1, 2024.
VALUE:  4 - $25,000 scholarships will be awarded toward funding the recipients college education regardless of where they have been accepted and are renewable for four years.

Nebraska Poultry Education Scholarship
DUE: December 15th

ELIGIBILITY: Nebraska residents, those attending school in Nebraska, or those interested in a career in poultry-based in Nebraska are encouraged to apply for the Nebraska Poultry Education Scholarship.
DESCRIPTION: Read and follow the instructions carefully prior to submitting your application. All winners will be notified no later than February 6th. If awarded, the scholarship will be awarded directly to the educational institution. Applicants and winners are encouraged to apply each year and can be awarded the scholarship multiple times but not totaling more than $1,000 per academic year. Winners are required to attend the Nebraska Poultry Industries virtual conference to be presented the scholarship. Non-traditional students are encouraged to apply.
VALUE: A total of 2- $2,500 scholarships may be awarded for the academic year. The four scholarships are awarded based on college credit hours completed (0-26 Freshman, 27-52 Sophomore, 53-88 Junior, 89 or more Senior).

Nebraska Educational Office Professionals Association NEOPA Scholarship
DUE: JANURARY 31st

ELIGIBILITY: Student must be a high school senior who attended high school in Nebraska and demonstrate financial need. The student must have completed two or more business education courses (four semesters) from among the following: computer/information technology (includes digital media and web design), keyboarding, accounting, office procedures, business communication, and/or management courses. See application for more information.
DESCRIPTION: Award of the scholarship is based upon academic achievement, financial need and initiative of the student. The scholarship amount will be determined according to available funds and will be awarded annually in the spring. It will be awarded in the amount of $500.00 for the 2021-2022 school year. The applicant must have applied for admission to a higher education institution. The course of study will prepare him/her to enter an office-related profession, preferably in the field of education. If the recipient is unable to enroll in an institution of higher education by the fall term of the year he/she is selected, the scholarship will be deemed forfeited and the award will be given to the alternate. All applications will be kept until enrollment of the recipient has been verified.

Mitchell Equipment Ag Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY:  
  • Applicants must be 2024-2025 graduates who are seeking to enroll in postsecondary technical colleges, state colleges, or universities.
  • This $500 scholarship is for students who currently reside in one of the following counties: Antelope, Boyd, Brown, Garfield, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Loup, Rock, Wheeler, Madison, Stanton, Platte, Cummings, Dodge, Nance, Merrick, Polk, Colfax, Boone, Pierce, and Butler.
  • Scholarships will be given to students with a specific interest in an agricultural related field of study and an interest in returning to the area after college completion.
  • The attached letter of recommendation form must accompany this application.
  • Selection is based on the student’s interest in Agriculture or an Ag-related field, an interest in returning to the north-central region of the state, and good citizenship in school and the community.
  • Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the technical college, state college, or university and will be applied to second-semester tuition and/or fees.
  • The application must be filled out by the applicant and an essay must be provided (see page 2 of application). Applications and recommendation letters can be emailed to:  [email protected] by March 15, 2025.

Horatio Alger Career and Technical Scholarship
OPENS: March 15th

ELIGIBILITY: The Career & Technical Scholarship Program is funded through the Horatio Alger Endowment Fund and the generosity of Association Chairman Emeritus and Endowment Fund President Walter Scott, Jr.  Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.

  • Have completed high school (or earned a high school equivalency credential)
  • Will be enrolled in eligible program in Fall 
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program (up to 2 years) at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States
  • Demonstrated critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
  • Demonstrated perseverance in overcoming adversity
  • Be under the age of 30
  • Be a United States citizen

​VALUE: The scholarship award is up to $2,500. Scholars can request $625 each eligible semester. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.  All scholarship funds are paid directly to the institution on behalf of the recipient.

James M. Cox Foundation Scholarship
DUE: APRIL 10th  

ELIGIBILITY: 
  • Reside in Nebraska, with special consideration given to students residing in the eastern one-third of the state;
  • Demonstrate financial need;
  • Demonstrate a likelihood of academic success in chosen field of study;
  • Attend a Nebraska-based institution of higher learning;
  • Complete and sign the Application;
  • Include a certified copy of your high school transcript;
  • Include two letters of recommendation from instructors, advisors or counselors; and
  • Include an educational commitment essay of no more than 1 page relating to the impact of a higher education on your permanent career objectives.
  • Other factors, obstacles or extenuating circumstances of the family such as financial burden, medical expenses, death of a parent, and/or disabilities factor into the decision making process.

GOOD LIFE, GREAT JOURNEY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
​DUE: APRIL 15th  

ELIGIBILITY: 
  • Looking to pursue a career where you can make a real impact, while also serving your community? The Nebraska Department of Transportation is where you’ll accomplish that and much more. Our Good Life, Great Journey Scholarship Program is how we invest in you and help Grow Nebraska. This program provides scholarships to individuals pursuing one of the approved technical degrees, at a partnering technical college while obtaining hands-on experience by working part-time as an intern for NDOT.

Norden Club Of Lincoln Foundation

ELIGIBILITY:
1. The applicant should reside within a 100-mile radius of Lincoln, Nebraska. 2. Fill out the application where it applies to you, and attach a letter of 250-300 words describing your proposed course of Scandinavian related study or activity and how it would fulfill our goals. 3. Jim Hurlbert Memorial Baseball Scholarship

Elk's Most Valuable Scholarship

The Hagan Scholarship Foundation 
DUE: DECEMBER 1ST 

ELIGIBILITY:
  1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  2. Must attend an Eligible Public High School.
  3. Must be a student in the high school graduating class.
  4. Must have achieved a high school CGPA of 3.75 or higher.
  5. Must enroll at an eligible four-year college the first semester following high school graduation.
  6. Must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of college.
  7. Must complete the FAFSA showing the EFC. 
  8. Must be Pell Grant eligible.
  9. Must not have been convicted of a felony.
DESCRIPTION: The Hagan Scholarship will help pay the unmet financial need of the recipient, up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters.
  1. The scholarship disbursement amount will be determined each semester by HSF by using one-half of the Total Cost of Attendance (COA) published by the National Center for Educational Statistics and posted on the HSF website; then subtracting the total dollar amount of all scholarships, awards, grants, and waivers received by recipient; one-half of the recipient’s EFC; and $1,250 representing the recipient’s contribution for their education.
  2. The scholarship award amount can be increased subsequent semesters to offset the expiration of other scholarships, awards, and grants.
  3. During the fall semester of the second year of college a $15,000 Schwab Scholar Account will be established for each scholarship recipient. 
  4. During the fall semester of the third year of college each recipient achieving a 3.50 CGPA will be eligible for an all expense paid Study Abroad Award, up to $8,000.
  5. During the fall semester of the fourth year of college after establishing a personal Schwab Account each recipient will receive $2,000 to be used to start investing for their long term financial security. 
  6. Each scholarship is renewable for up to seven additional semesters if the recipient fulfills the renewal criteria, attends the mandatory workshops, and fulfills their Schwab Account responsibilities.
  7. There is no limit to the number of credit hours a recipient can earn during the term of their scholarship. Recipients graduating college in less than four years can use the remainder of their Hagan Scholarship to attend graduate school or a professional school.
  8. Recipients must attend a free mandatory workshop prior to the start of each academic year of college. HSF provides funding for travel and lodging costs. 
  9. Each recipient must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of each academic year of college and provide proof of employment.

ELIGIBILITY:The selection of the scholarship recipients will be made by the NAFM Scholarship Committee whose members will consider the following:
  1. Each applicant must have exhibited his/her 4-H projects in a County Fair or at the State Fair within the last four years.
  2. Each applicant must hold a 2.5 high school grade point average (based on a 4.0 system). Each applicant must also maintain a 2.5 grade point average for the first semester in college and carry at least 12 credit hours.

Nebraska Insurance Federation & Nebraska Actuaries Club Scholarship

  • Two $4,000 scholarships will be awarded, payable in four installments of $1,000 per semester over the course of the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years.

  • The $2,000 scholarships are funded by the Nebraska Actuaries Club and will be awarded to students entering any college or university in the state of Nebraska.

ELIGIBILITY: 
  • Scholarship applicants must be a resident of Nebraska and a U.S. citizen. Johnny Baxter Carriage House Foundation Scholarship
DUE: April 1st  

ELIGIBILITY: 
  • All seniors planning to attend a Nebraska Community College in the fall. 
  • Must be planning to enroll in one of the automotive related courses of study. 
  • Applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from at least one teacher describing the applicant's aptitude and attitude and student must include high school transcript.
  • Must submit a cover letter to be attached to the applicant form indicating his/her interest in the automotive field and their plan for technical training.
  • An interview and reference letter from a new car dealer would be given additional consideration.

ROY & DORIS ABOOD SCHOLARSHIP
DUE: APRIL 1st 

ELIGIBILITY: 
  • Open to all students and available to any year of college including graduate school. Applicant may receive the award more than one time, but not more than four times as an undergraduate, or no more than two times as a graduate student.
  • Must be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 hours) in undergraduate study or enrolled in graduate study at the University of Nebraska - Kearney in the upcoming fall semester.
  • Award to first generation college students (A first generation college student is defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor's degree. This means that you are the first in your family to attend a four-year college/university to attain a bachelor's degree.)
  • Requirements Include:

The scholarship award is in the amount of $4,000 over the course of the program ($2,000) per year). The awardee will have a 2 year work commitment to BD upon the completion of his/her degree.

Pink Bandana Scholarship
DUE: APRIL 1st

ELIGIBILITY:
  • Must be a senior at a Nebraska high school who is planning to enroll in a 2 or 4-year college for the next academic year.
  • Must be a student who has battled breast cancer or a student who has a sibling, guardian or biological parent who has battled breast cancer within the past 10 years. 
  • Complete the following application submit via mail or e-mail by April 1st. 
DESCRIPTION: Pink Bandana is a non-profit organization which raises money and awareness about breast cancer for women under the age of 40. Since 2008, the group has raised money through the annual Breast Cancer Mud Volleyball Tournament. Each year, Pink Bandana awards two $10,000 gifts to families battling breast cancer.  
VALUE: $1,000 per year for 4-year college or $2,000 per year for 2-year college

Kids' Chance of Nebraska Scholarship
DUE: AUGUST 1st 

ELIGIBILITY:
  • Must be between the ages of 16 – 25 years old
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or a high school student in good standing (who will graduate in the current academic year).
  • Dependent of a parent who suffered either an employment related fatality or injuries that have had a significant adverse effect on family income.
  • Proceeds can be used for vocational / technical school, junior college, undergraduate or graduate programs
  • Proceeds must be used for tuition, fees or room and board only (will be paid directly to the institution).
  • Prior to award of the scholarship, applicant must demonstrate that they meet the minimum criteria for acceptance to the institution to which they have applied. This can be accomplished by either submitting the formal acceptance letter from the institution, or providing documentation (transcripts, tests scores) meeting the institution’s minimum admission criteria.
  • Scholarship awards are contingent on availability of funds and may be renewed
  • Scholarship funds will be paid out each semester upon approval of board that recipient is still attending educational institution and meeting required criteria
DESCRIPTION: Kids’ Chance of Nebraska (KCNE) provides college scholarships to the children of Nebraska workers who have been severely or fatally injured in a workplace-related accident. KCNE awards as many scholarships as the current year’s funding will allow.
